Export Text
Summary
WriteItNow can save or export files as text. This is a very simple format which can be loaded into text editors such as NotePad.When WriteItNow stories are saved as 'text' format they contain only text information. They contain no information about layout. In general it is preferable to export files in rtf format.
How to Export in Text Format
From the 'Export' menu choose 'Text' or press CTRL+F9.The following dialog is displayed.
From this select which sections of the story you want to export. These settings are stored.
Press the 'Text Export' button to export text.
This will create a text file with the name of your story and the suffix '.txt'
If, for example your story is called 'The Lone Ranger', then a file called 'The Lone Ranger.txt' will be generated.
If you have an application associated with '.txt' files, WriteItNow will now launch the application and load 'The Lone Ranger.txt' into it. You can the edit and save this text file.
Clicking the 'Restore defaults' button will set all text output settings to their defaults.
