OS X and Java
OS X comes with Java pre-installed. Older versions of OS X had Java 1.3
or 1.4. Newer versions have 1.5 and some 64-bit Macs may have 1.6
WriteItNow 4 needs at least Java 1.5
N.B. Before registering make sure you download and try the demo on your
Mac. A few people have reported that WriteItnow 4 won't run on their
Macs even with Java 1.5.
Checking Your Java Version
1. Open the Hard Drive Icon on the desktop
2. Open Applications, then Utilities
3. Open Terminal
4. Enter java -version, retrieve info
