Spelling Checker

The spelling checker has a dictionary of ~100,000 words. You can easily add words to the dictionary. The spelling checker can check spelling using British, US or Canadian spellings. Spell checking works on the main text section in the currently selected Tab.

How To Check Spelling

Select the 'Spell Check' option from the 'Edit Menu' or press CTRL + L or right click with the mouse and pick the 'Spell Check' option.

This dialog is displayed:

The first misspelling is highlighted. If there are close alternatives to this these are shown in the list of suggestions. Click on a suggestion to replace the mispelt word.

Changing Words

If a word has been highlighted it can be changed. In the above diagram the word 'short' has been chosen from the list of alternatives.

Press 'Change' to change a misspelled word to the selected alternative.

Press 'Change All' to change all instances of a misspelled word to the selected alternative.

Ignoring Words

To ignore misspelled words press the 'Ignore' or 'Ignore All' buttons.

Adding Words

To add the highlighted word to your dictionary click the 'Add' button.

Selecting a Country

To decide whether to use British, US or Canadian spellings select the 'Spell Checker Country' from the 'Setup' menu.
