WriteItNow 4 Story Board

Use the StoryBoard to re-arrange and edit Chapters and Scenes.



Any changes you make on the StoryBoard will also occur to the story. E.g. if you delete a Scene on the Story Board this Scene will be deleted from the story.

• Select the 'Tools' menu
• Click on 'Story Board'

Each Chapter is shown down the left hand side and the Scenes which make up this Chapter are shown next to it.

Re-organizing

Chapters and Scenes can be quickly and easily re-arranged with the mouse.

Click on a Chapter or Scene and drag it to a new position. E.g. To move Chapter 1 Scene 3 to the start of Chapter 2 just drag the Scene to its new position.





If you move a Chapter all the Scenes associated with it are also moved. After re-arranging Scenes and Chapters  are renumbered.

Adding and Deleting Chapters

Right-click on a Chapter. A menu is shown which lets you add and delete Chapters and add Scenes to the Chapter.

Editing

Double click on a Scene or Chapter to edit its details.

Amount Shown

The Story Board can show two levels of detail. Set this in the main program using the Settings menu.

Then choose Tool Settings ->Show Story Board Details.

If 'Show Story Board Details' is selected then the Story Board will appear as above. If it is de-selected then Chapters and Scenes show less but are smaller.



On NetBooks with a small screen ensure that 'Show Story Board Details' is de-selected to make the most of the limited screen space.

Changing Colors

Use the 'Options' menu to set the Chapter, Scene and background colors and to set the zoom level. You can set any colors and these will be remembered. E.g.

Re-sizing

As well as the 'Zoom' menu under the 'Options' menu you can also Use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
